About Just Opened YEG

Just Opened YEG lists businesses that received their first City of Edmonton business licence, so you can find the new restaurant, shop or contractor near you before it shows up anywhere else.

The list is rebuilt every morning from the City's open data. A business appears in the week its first licence was issued. Licences can take a day or two to reach the City's data, so the current week fills in as it goes; each week is final from the following Wednesday.

A licence means a business is allowed to operate; it does not always mean the doors are open yet.
